If you’ve seen Klutch and Charlie’s work, then you know this will be one of the best Goodfoot Art shows this year.
The Goodfoot will have an art opening on Last Thurs, Sept 25th from 5-11pm, show will be up until Oct 27. This months artists are Klutch and Charlie Alan Kraft
Klutch, best known as the cranky old punk responsible for the Vinyl Killers project, has been creating visual mischief for over two decades. From his work with early 1980’s hardcore punk and the legendary Skull Skates, to painting backgrounds for Nike ads, his work has appeared around the world on t-shirts, skateboards, city walls, magazines, and galleries. In 2005 the suite he created at San Francisco’s Hotel Des Arts was featured in Time magazine’s annual “Best Of” issue.
Once considered a national icon and one of the worlds greatest discoveries Charlie Alan Kraft now resides in Portland Oregon living a quiet much more civilized life then that of his past.
Not a stranger to the idea of challenge and danger Charlie set out to become an artist. A word he heard many times from teachers and scientists who looked over his drawings with intrigue. “What is this artist?” he asked one day. In response from a team of professionals they all pointed to something he had just finished painting. “An artist is you.” One person said and from then on Charlie has dedicated his new life to painting.
