Wow. Spoke Photography has a lot more pictures of the 501st Legion Star Wars invasion of Portland last weekend. Really funny to see Vader warning about the power of the Dark Side in Stumptown.
From Article I of our Legion Charter document:
“…The (501st) Legion is a volunteer club formed for the express purpose of bringing together costume enthusiasts and giving them a collective identity within which to operate. The Legion’s aims are to celebrate the Star Wars movies through the wearing of costumes, to promote the quality and improvement of costumes and props, and most importantly to contribute to the local community through charity and volunteer work…”
Personal thoughts by Jack Handy Julian Chadwick: Except for Yoda, Chewbacca and Lando’s cloud palace, the Dark Side rocks so much harder than the “resistance” or whatever. Why would you resist the Dark Side anyway? Everyone seems to have a job, probably with good benefits. They have a sweet Death Star. Just stay away from Vader or he might choke you out.
