Dear OPB,
I am putting this up now in hopes that you will hurry up with the tote bags you owe me. It has been weeks and I totally hooked you up during pledge drive. I can’t go to this party and not have my tote bags. I need to represent-sent-zent! And what’s up with my tree?
From the powers that be:
Sunday November 23rd 700pm @ Someday Lounge
OPB Music Presents:
An evening of art and music hosted by Jeremy Peterson (OPB’s In House Music) in celebration of
Super XX Man’s cd release Vol. XII “There’ll Be Diamonds” out on Tender Loving Empire.
The evening kicks off at 7pm sharp with an eclectic art show featuring works by comic illustrator and album cover artist Brian Oaster and Chad Crouch the impresario of local label Hush Records. Also works by many Tender Loving Empire artists.
There will be food and drinks and DJ Strunk and White (aka Bob Ham)will warm up the evening.
Featured bands for the night are acclaimed Blues/Folk Rock outfit Shoeshine Blue who will be joined by John Vecchiarelli and Ali Wesley from Super XX Man.
Then a rare performance by Team Evil, not as evil as they sound but a group of minimalist/experimental rockers featuring members of both Point Juncture, WA and Blind Pilot.
And of course Super XX Man will close out the evening with songs from Vol. XII “There’ll Be Diamonds” which was inspired by his work as a musical therapist at an Oregon State hospital.
Tickets are available now at Brown Paper Tickets for $6 plus service charge.
