First Thursday: The Smallest Art Gallery in Portland is Closing

This is sad news. Core Art Gallery is having its final opening tomorrow. I’ve been to Core many times. I’ve taken several friends there who are always excited to see this great space. If you have any time on Thursday, go down to Everett Station Lofts and experience crawling (seriously, crawling) in to the smallest gallery space in Portland. If this economy doesn’t stop killing things I love, I am going to smack its face right off!

Core Gallery - Chris Haberman

Well my dear friends,

This is going to be our final show.  The last time to come upstairs to the Core, to hang out, to crawl into the other little world.  I am trying to think of it as more of a completed moment.  Some special other world, where if you were there, you saw it,  and if you’ve only heard about it, then it exists, and always will, in some other space, some alternate universe, for all of time.

I have enjoyed so much over the past few years, sharing this magical space with all of you, but I have decided the time has come, not to close forever this feeling and idea, but to take another step to another level, the work which I have started.

Thank you,
And I hope you will come visit us this December first thursday for our final show.
