Oregon Literacy hosts free scrabble games every Tuesday evening at The Gotham Tavern, located at:
2240 N. Interstate ave. from 6-9pm.

Join us for lightly compeitive rounds with a chance to win prizes, meet new people, and enjoy the yummy food and delicious beverages The Gotham Tavern offers. Ten percent of your food/beverage tab goes to supporting Oregon Literacy.

Music Tonight at Ground Kontrol: Benefit for Cat Adoption Team

Just got this message from Jason over at Floating World Comics

So we still haven’t totally decided on a band name, but we’re going with KELLER for now. We’re playing tonite at Ground Kontrol (NW 5th and couch) at 9pm sharp - 9:30pm.

There’s a $5 cover which is a benefit for Cat Adoption Team, and all VIDEO GAMES WILL BE FREE ALL NITE in celebration of Art’s birthday. He works there and books the shows. He asked us and these other bands to play:

PRA Benefit Party at Ash St. Saloon on July 5th

Starting at the beginning of the month on July 5 at the Ash Street Saloon, located at 225 SW Ash St, PDX. Local rock band Kieskagato will headline along with Yoyodyne, Rapids, and Happy Prescriptions in addition to DJ’ing from P Murder, and DJs Gram and Automne. Cover is $5 to $7 sliding scale donation and all proceeds go to help keep the Portland Radio Authority going strong in all its DIY goodness. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. and music starts at 9:00 p.m..
