Tour de Fat - New Belgium will trade you a bike for you car!

Tour de Fat is coming to Portland on August 18. New Belgium will be giving a custom bike to one chosen person for the title of their car.

Information sent over from Bryan @ New Belgium Beer:

We’re looking for one dedicated person to hand over their car, title and keys to the Tour de Fat altar at each stop this summer. In exchange for this tremendous gesture, New Belgium will award you with a hand-crafted, fully loaded, Fort Collins-built New Belgium commuter bike.

It’s really quite simple. Trade your car for a new bike and commit yourself to sparkle motion, gas-less, human-powered transport. Our goal is to have your vehicular cleansing become an inspiration to the Tour de Fat congregation and beyond. We’ll film your individual sacrifice and your car-free trials and triumphs over the following year in hopes of inspiring the masses to commute by bike more.

We would like you to submit a video or letter of 2 minutes/1000 words or less telling us your story and your desire to be car-free. Submit your application to cwinn@newbelgium.com or upload your video to http://staging.newbelgium.com/form.php?action=bike_trade and include “I wanna trade my car for a bike in (enter city name here) in the subject line. Mail videos to:
