Did You Know That Portland is The American Eden?
August 4, 2007 — Julian ChadwickShooter, over at Neighborhood News alerted me to this article (American Eden) from Travel and Leisure magazine.
So, is Portland America’s Eden and is this “Another PDX Love-Fest with The Predictable Criteria Included? YES to both–but I would say the whole Pacific NW is the American Eden (including B.C. of course–it’s called Cascadia).
Overall, it is a decent article and I haven’t seen Courtney Taylor-Taylor whine this much since DiG!

- grab a beer and veggie dog at Acme (put this here b/c it is now Plan B and those veggie dogs have been replaced by real dogs wrapped in bacon!)

- The fashion-forward—pierced and fierce pretenders to the throne of Kurt Cobain heroin immortality, the neo-mods, the gloom- and-doom girls working an emo-lite look somewhere between Emily the Strange and Wednesday Addams
