Daily Stank Image Bank: Malice at the Holiday Ale Festival

Malice at the Holiday Ale Festival, Portland, Oregon

I went to the Holiday Ale Festival yesterday with the Amplify-Interactive crew. There were a lot of people and a crazy amount of good beers. I had one in particular called Scaldis Noel that was 12%. That was some tasty but rough stuff (C-block didn’t fare so well for the experience of having one after 3 or 4 other beers).

Anyway, it is still going on–and you too might see Portland’s most famous adult dancer (also model, actress and Rock video essential), Malice, out there.

Reminder: Holiday Ale festival, “the most prestigious winter beer sampling opportunity on the West Coast”

Warm, cozy, beer drinking…does it get better than that? No, no it does not. I said no. From Earlier post:

Nov 29: “The only beer festival in the Northwest to be held outdoors in the dark, cold and often wet month of December.”

Check out HolidayAle.com if you haven’t recently seen a website that contains frames and looks like it was built with Microsoft Office/Frontpage in 98, here ya go. Good stuff…I remember those times…a simpler time indeed..now let’s drink some holiday ales

From Holiday Ale:

Welcome to the Holiday Ale Festival, the only beer festival in the Northwest to be held outdoors in the dark, cold and often wet month of December.

Despite chilly temperatures and often-inclement weather outside, attendees stay warm and dry at the festival under a large clear tent that covers the venue while allowing for views of the city lights. Gas heaters create a cozy ambiance under the boughs of one of the region’s largest decorated Christmas trees.

More than three dozen potent winter ales are featured at the event, all of which are created specifically to bring warmth and cheer to the holiday season. The beers are rich, robust and full of complex flavors.

Cheers to the Season!

X-citings: “This December, giant X’s will mysteriously spring up downtown” Portland

Christmas is here…we’ve been playing Dean, Martin’s Christmas album a bit already a bit up here at the Spalding Building…yep!

I have not seen any of these “Giant X’s” yet, and I am only a few blocks from Pioneer Square. I have seen a lot of “Next Big Thing” construction going down, pictured above. Apparently, they are coming in December. Seems like if they are really that “giant”, they could be hard to hide. I will try to get a pic before then if possible.

Anyone seen these “Gaint X’s yet?” Maybe, you know where they are going to be unveiled or where they are stored now…do tell–I’m sure we’ll keep it a secret :)
