To all the places hosting election coverage…keep in mind the first polls close at 7 pm eastern (4 pm pacific). If you don’t have your doors opening until 5 or 6 pm pacific, you are likely to have people standing in line as the election is called…especially if Obama wins Virginia.

The only place I can find in the East side of Portland where I can go before the polls close back East (7:00 p.m., EST) is
all the McMenamins pubs, which will be open ALL DAY!! By the time all these other places open their doors it will be 8:30 or 9:00 p.m. back East. RETHINK YOUR HOURS! If you don’t go to McMenamins pubs {excluding the Bagdad, which doesn’t open till 5 p.m. PST (8 p.m. EST)} you’ll be standing in line outside just as the elections are being called.
